How much labour time should I expect ? OSF CV boot

Hi guys , my drivers side CV boot gaiter is oozing grease- is this a big job? How many hours would you expect a garage to charge to replace it? Or is it an easy DIY job?
Thanks in anticipation of your replies ! [/list] 2003 Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

I'll let you know some time tomorrow, as mine is in for that and 2 track rod ends as I type.......

,,,,,though it wasn't ready at close of play today, as they said everything was seized.

Should be ready once they've done the tracking in the morning...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Well I was charged £130 + VAT labour for doing the CV boot, both track rod ends and tracking (obviously).

I asked what the breakdown of the labour was and the receptionist couldn't tell me, so thats the best info I have I'm afraid. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

It all depends if they are flexible or if they charger for work done and not the autodata time.
If its stuck its a right frigging nightmare as i've seen first hand.

anything from 90mins to 180mins should cover it though but over £140 id be asking for video evidence Smile

I paid £90 for my passenger side, new set of rear shoes and handbrake adjustment Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

tracking isn't necessary if the mechanic can count, just count off and back on the number of turns the track rod came off Thumbs Up Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue

This is why I have swapped to a local Indy who charge £45+VAT per hour and are doing a brilliant job compared to the Main Stealer I was using who tended to make a dogs dinner of the most basic tasks.

Even though I can manage to count I still would not change any suspension joints and not do wheel alignment afterwards, 2004 td6 Adriatic Blue
