Don't you hate all these first posts looking for help solving a problem?
Well hopefully this isn't - I've got a 56 plate TDV8 that I've had for about a year, during that time it has given the above warning very intermittently (weeks or months could pass) and also gone into limp home mode, this would right it'self on restarting the engine. After lurking on several forums it seems that this problem does crop up regularly with no evident cause or solution.
A couple of moths ago it suddenly got more frequent, nothing showing on IID tool, concensus seemed to indicate "poor fuel" so I emptied the tank, replaced the filter and primed the system - no improvement, in fact it got worse and the fault would appear everytime that the engine started. At least it wasn't an intermittent fault any more !
IID now showed fault "P132B", Christian at GAP identified this as a "turbo boost control performance" fault.
While waiting for approval for the 2nd mortgage that I was expecting to need for Turbo renewal I decided to have a bit of a poke about myself. I noticed that the wastegate actuator on the offside turbo didn't move very smoothly, so I thought a generous dose of WD40 and a few minutes wriggling about couldn't do any harm.
Now (this is the bit where I'm touching wood and I've got everything crossed) It started up and ran faultlessly and has done so for 8 weeks now.
Conclusion - Good luck ? Coincidence ? It may go wrong tomorrow ?, who knows but perhaps this might help someone with a similar problem
