Hi Guys

Another question from a novice? running some wires down the front passenger footwell and found a white box fitted behind the trim panel with a large multi pin loom (Purple Top) that was not connected?, box was there and loom but as i say not connected?

Don't want to connect just in case but not sure what it is for, any help appreciated.

My car is a 2002 L322 Vogue, so not sure if it is the pre-wiring for a phone? although there is no phone fitted, the part looks OE.

Will connect it up and see what goes bang

Put a picture up if u get a chance..

Have a close look at it and see if it says headlight levelling ECU written on it somewhere... (one of the only ECU's in a FF that tells you what it is!)

A white box, not quite as big as a fag packet but slightly thicker?

That sounds like the one i mean, i presume it should be plugged in ?

found the section in the workshop manual (Picture below No12)

says it is the Automatic headlamp levelling ECU (bi-xenon headlamps only)

next is do i have Xenon? how would i tell?

Do you have a halogen bulb or an eliptical headlight? (ie does your headlamp have a visible bulb in a chrome holder like a normal car or a shark eye type?)

The eliptical type means its bi-xenon...

HSE and Vogues have Xenons standard......

SE's do not.......

Had a look and they seem to be Xenon so will plug it in, can't imagine why it was unplugged though?
