Installing the Audio Connectivity Module LR004806

Just picked up a brand new genuine connection kit LR004806 from the bay of e for £82! Complete bargain me thinks!

So will set about fitting it to my 2005 model L322 soon so I can get my iphone and other mp3 player music playing through the system. I know it is meant for the newer models but have heard it should fit the crossover.

Is there any main differences when installing it in a hybrid crossover model, as the electrics is probably slightly different with the mixture of Denso and BMW. I think I remember reading somewhere that the older cars need the dash out to get to the back of the head unit, while the newer ones can be connected via the glovebox area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got one installed in my 05 range rover 06my. It is suitable for pre 2007 touchscreens it's just a bit of an ordeal to install. Once you have removed the dash and get to the back of the sat nav it should be plug and play. Correct me if I'm wrong peoples.. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the confirmation, so it looks like on the earlier models the electronics box is mounted in a more inconvenient position under the centre of the dash.

When I have a few hours to spare I will pull the thing apart and give it a go. Very Happy Tom

Top of the dash off and passenger glovebox assy out and youll be good to go plug and play you just have to be creative in mounting the silver controll box as you dont get a lot of slack on the fiber optic cable thats in your conectivity box of goodies as it connects into the cd multi changer also i would allow a weekend of fiddling if you have never stripped the dash down onto no6 Range Rover
