Get the Jag engine. It's more efficient, you get 6 speeds and a better gearbox.
There's lots of internetvwisdom to say that the Jag engine has soft valves and will spontaneously melt down once it gets a sniff of LPG, but there are a few S/c owners who would disagree.
Many of them have now Benin running on LPG for 3years.
If the S/c can run on LPG the na will be even safer to convert.
However, if £12k is your budget and you'll pay for conversion on top, get a higher mileage S/c!
No question in my mind. They can take the mileage, you get around 30 mpg equivalent, and the best spec FFRR. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
