Hi gang got 52 plate td6 brake lights are lit when key is out and cant get ignition key to turn ,also alarm indidcaters dont flasham stuck need car asap any help or any one near stockport can give assistance

if the key doesnt turn then it could be the 'mechanics' under the console ....console off and have a look.

try a battery disconnection then, again details in the wiki......its a process of elimination pete.. ... - .- -.

if this doesnt help then you need to have an expert look at it..the range has so many ecu's inter connected that when one goes down an un-related problem shows up somewhere else... ... - .- -.

well i need an expert its still the same ignition wont turn brake lights lit with no key in at a toltle loss now ,whish i had kept my omega now pete have hawkeye diagnostics for l322 td6 in the manchester area ,pm for deatalis. |

yes tried that was ist thing i did try found this on another site The brake lights are activated by the LCM (Light Check Module) which is located on the drivers side (RH side) A post (where your right foot is when you are driving) behind the trim panel. This should be your first point to check. The brake lights are activated when you press the brake pedal (obviously) and also when HDC is enabled. When this fault occurs, do you hear the steering lock come off when you put the key in? when you put your key in and before you turn the key you should hear a clicking , if not try another key like contraband suggested.. ... - .- -.

all ready tried that now im getting all agitated dont know any good range rover mecanic and cant afford stealers prices might have to sell it pete have hawkeye diagnostics for l322 td6 in the manchester area ,pm for deatalis. |

if the key dont click, you wont be able to turn it ...hows the fullfats battery , if its over about 3 years old it might need replacing.. ... - .- -.
