United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black
Good deal or overpriced?

Hi all

Been a while - but I'm thinking of delving back in to the l322 after a year of absence

I've found (and seen/driven) an 05 touchscreen vogue (not updated grille/bumper) TD6 in black, with cream interior, 125k miles, 2 owners and £11,995 from a dealer

Drives bang on, and, after prep, I'm told it will be A1 cosmetically and they offer a 3 month AA warranty as standard. Everything, bar everything works, inc FBH, just been serviced and 8 months MOT

Question is... is £12k too much for a car on 125,000 miles? Do the later TD6s exclude themselves from the gearbox issues? I do around 20k a year, so at 185k in 3 years is this car going to depreciate massively?

Is it better to purchase a £10k TD6 with similar mileage?

Thanks in advance Smile 2008/58 FFRR 3.6 TDV8 Vogue

@kingpleb

I was wondering how much yours was - have been nosing through your threads, dissapointingly a lot of the images dont exist any more. If this were a full facelift I'd think it were more worthwhile, but as it is - it looks, and drives like a 2002 with a touchscreen!

Found a 2003 black/cream vogue TD6 with 115k in London for £10k, maybe more on the money? 2008/58 FFRR 3.6 TDV8 Vogue

As Joe has said you can hunt around for some bargains and NEVER let the mileage concern you Smile

Condition then price.

If you have a budget get a good ceap one budgeting that you'll need £2k for a gearbox or other engine issue and a £6k one could be a bargain.

I spent the money on mine as it was as described, one careful lady owner, interior in pretty good nick, back seats never used, dog in the boot and higher than avg miles but the condition and drive of it were great. And because I wanted the facelift as I think it will age better when the new one comes out!

Don't forget everybody drives the car but if your good you'll ask the seller to drive it a bit as well, say in the return to their house or dealership Wink if it's the current owner it gives you some idea of how it's been used.. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Overpriced, I'd pay £10k max for a facelift td6 Thumbs Up

Eta and I mean full facelift not just touchscreen, and it would still have to be A1! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Thanks guys - I thought it was overpriced, although after 2 days of being online it's sold!

May pop and have a look at the £9995 115k mile, appears to be well sorted

I've always bought on condition/price before - and it's never let me down, so i'll go with that again i think

I'd happily go with a cheapie and keep the money to sort it out, but I'm keen on having another black one which seem to attract a premium, can't have it all i suppose

The hunt continues Smile 2008/58 FFRR 3.6 TDV8 Vogue

Im sure the black ones attract higher insurance as well as they are more desirable for street pharmacists with tinting as well.... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
