They look good, but sadly Coopers only make them in 16,17,18 & 20 inch. My wheels are 19". Crying or Very sad

Deasy,

What size Coopers have you got? If you went oversized, did you have any issues?

Il have to check the size , not got my rangie at the moment, it's in the garage lol, I'm 99% sure they are 275/55/20

No problems atall, appart from very slight rubbing on full lock, but nothing to be worried about

I got mine from silverline in Warwick, £200 each fitted and he did the 5th for £100 fitted because I bought 5
So £900 for all 5 fitted and balanced

I have Pirelli Scorpions 255/60/18 on my L322 and find them great both on and off road but as Joe90 says LR demoed these cars off road on road tyres so I have no idea how good the tyres are. But they are bloody expensive about NZ$500 here.

Looking for something a little more aggressive really, but thanks for the suggestion. Wink

Scorpion ATRs (not Zeroes) are largely comparable to Grabber ATs, perhaps a little less off-road biased.

It was the ATR I was looking at. It was just that from the photos I saw of the ATR & Grabber AT, the Grabber looked a bit more aggressive. Saying that, I've now read a few reviews and the ATR seems to be a long lasting tyre.

I've got plenty of time to decide which to go for and at the moment I'm edging towards the Coopers, although I can't find any listed in 255/55R19's in the UK but I'm still looking. Wink

Please don't put MT's on a FFRR- quick way to ruin it - I have BFG MT's on my Jeep Wrangler - they are just about OK on that as its mainly used off road - not too bad on road in the dry and awful in the wet.

I'd like AT's on there really as it's mostly used on the road but I want something for use on the beach, in snow and on peat tracks.
I've run MT's before, BFG, General and Tacoma, so I know what the grip levels are like with them. The last ones I had were the Generals and they were excellent on wet roads and they also did three Belgium Nationals with just a nick in one sidewall. They also lasted well and are still on the old Disco now. Very Happy

Eh?

Ruin it in what way? If your needing chunky ness , and keep it on road slicks, surely that ruins it more?

Yes, mt will affect handling, but you can't get a single perfect tyre, there will always be a compromise.

Budgie, I run275/55r20 cooper ltz for winter months. Very pleased, but they do dull handling a lot V8 or else ...

I should have added IMHO Embarassed

My view is that if you need full on MTs then the FFRR is probably the wrong vehicle - they are too far weighted to off road for a vehicle that is weighted to road use.

I used to run MTs on a P38, but then again it was chopped down into a pickup Very Happy

I accept that there may be certain cases where MTs are the answer, but if that was the case, you don't really need to ask....

Also MTs aren't that great in snow - I've heard ATs are better - in my case the FFRR with Vredestein Wintracs gets more grip than my Jeep with BFG MTs.

Those Cooper LTRs look like a good compromise - I've heard good things from those that have them
