I know two people with the Logic7 and they both say they are dissapointed in the sound. 7.1 surround sound in a car is wasted imho. A lot of music just isn't set up for that, no CD's are encoded in 7.1... 

I knew mine was HK from the sales speil that came with it. In my last job as a service engineer, one of my old customers made all the plastic trim for the Range Rover, including the speaker grilles with HK on! I wish I'd have known at the time that one day I'd buy a RR - they were just lying all over the floor in different colours!

2 in each rear door = 4
1 Sub = 1
1 Center Speaker = 1

Total = 12 

+2 in the rear pillars = 14  ====================================

Is quite simple, you look in the boot and out of the 3 or 4 ECU's that are all black, you'll see this:

noticed a set of those pillar speakers on eblag the other night,

dont suppose they are any good if you have the dsp system, what i mean is they cant be added?

= 16 in total  2005 Audi A8 W12

1986 Mercedes 420 SL 4.2

I think the two you are talking about are the one's i mentioned that are on the rear pillars above the rear parcel shelf .......

Just back from the hospital, wife gave birth to No.2 daughter today. Can't believe with the recent reliability issues with my RR even took her 320d to the hospital !

Interested to see evidence of tailgate speakers, considering I've had 2 cars with HK Logic7 you'd think I'd have seen them. I'm pretty sure there has only ever been 14 speakers in the highest of specification models. Now if you're really spoddy you'll be able to name them all! Discovery 4 HSE

the pre 05 had them in the tail gate as my one has, the rear pillar ones are 05 and on, ok on the pre 05 for show only as there are no out puts for them and if you double up they sound crap.... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

the range rover sound system is not a thumping bit of kit, it sounds well for what it is, im sure if you want to throw a 1000 at it then you would get a half decent system but i am happy with mine, rather send some money on a ipod interface. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
