Think pretlove was more on the 'personal' security side of the business ? 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

United States 2005 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Chawton White

In a previous life, i did home security installations.
Part of the trick is to think like a thief.
How would you get in?
Then, secure those points.
1 of my favorite sensors was this thing that could detect the flex of a floor joist.
You used epoxy and screws to attach it to the underside of the joist; someone walking on the floor above would trigger it. Not applicable in all situations, but excellent when you could use it.
Definately better than IR motion sensors, which can be circumvented.

What happens when the system is triggered?
Call Central Office monitor? Need a cell phone for that so cutting the land-line doesn't disable the system.
Most municipalities in US do NOT allow direct calls to police.
Activate local siren/alarm?
Engage 50-caliber gun emplacements?
Electrify the perimeter?

What's the purpose of the cameras?
Getting a picture of the bad guy(s) carrying your toys out the front door is fairly useless in most cases.

A lot of times, just putting an alarm company sticker on your vulnerable windows will encourage the bad guys to go next door.

You might also consider a yard sign like this:

That works here, but probably wouldn't be an effective deterrent in a country where citizens aren't allowed to own guns. Jim
