That part alone would be ringing massive alarm bells with me. If they accept credit cards then why on earth would they need a bank transfer??? Erm, because credit card transactions can be charged back, bank transfers are much more difficult. RULE No.1. If you buy off the internet, USE A CREDIT CARD TO PAY. RULE No.2. If you use PAYPAL, Only fund it with a CREDIT CARD. RULE No. 3. If you ignore rules No 1 and 2, you are open to being scammed. Only credit cards give you the buyer protection and the ability to charge back with very little reason. The burden of proof lies with the retailer in all cases when a credit card is used, and yes, you can charge back PAYPAL transactions through the card company. But sorry to hear about it anyway. Make sure you file complaints with ALL the bank/Card companies involved so at least it will come to their attention. Hope you get your cash back too. Dom |

Just an alternative view. We have a company making oak flooring/doors etc. Some of our production is sold over the internet to consumers. We get stung usually about once a month by false chargebacks, usually between £3-5,000. We'd not dream of shipping high value goods abroad based on a credit card payment any more I'm sorry to say as we're simply asking to be defrauded. It's hard enough getting your money/goods back in the UK. Doesn't change what happened to the OP but companies often ask for bank transfers For the same reason consumers avoid them..... You don't want to be left without a seat when the music stops. Lloyd Barnes Current Crendon 427 Sideoiler Cobra in build... 7 litres of madness! Im pretty sure they are supplied by some of our suppliers... Could it be that they are trying to buy themselves some extra time if the suppliers are out of stock of some of these items? Some companies are out of some product for months at a time... I know as we have to deal with this on a weekly basis...
