United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Cairns Blue

Muddy have you tried a slightly earlier one? still a cracking car without the bigger engine or save loads and get a supercharged if you are not doing high milage LPG always an option and if you work out what you will save on the vehicle against fuel. ( and remember the new model will probably hammer value of a nearly new)
just a thought Mine was a blue one! Smile

I reckon then your best bet is to be patient & sell your RRS & Mini privately, then when you have the cash in your pocket I'll be surprised if you don't get a cracking deal from someone.

I also wouldn't just give up on a phone call enquiry. So many dealers think you'll be wasting their time, so I would make time & keep visiting them, try the Vogue a few times & genereally make a real pain in the arse of yourself to them. They'll either get fed up with you going there or realise you really are interested, then they'll go out of their way to give a better price & deal Thumbs Up

Like Gaz said I am afraid. It took me ages to get my head around the loss I was going to take on m5. Higher risk less money so they leave plenty in it. Pal of mine trades high end cars he also singing from same hymn sheet. Sorry mate same old you buy high and sell low! Good luck L405 4.4 SDV8 Santorini/Black VSE

Gazellio - thanks for the info - I have factory privacy, before the service last month it was pristine, LR Warranty to Nov 2014, and detachable towbar with 13 pin electrics so expected more Bow down

Andy - I looked at the 3.6 Vogue when I got the RRS and did not like it but blown away by the 4.4 - I want to go newer rather than older if I am forking out hard earned cash and plan to keep it until about 5 years old - I also have an aversion to petrol following the death of a family friend in an accident where petrol leaked and caused an explosion Sad

Rolo - Looks like private sales my only option - might sell sport and caravan now and run the mini until I see a bargain Thumbs Up

I am amazed in recent years how LR dealers act like they are doing you a favour selling you a £50k+ luxury car and yet when I bought the mini last month list price just under £18k they were ringing me daily after I contacted them offering discounts if I would buy one Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

Hi Muddy, not sure if you have mentioned this before but how big/how much was the repair if its really big I would get a lawyer involved that may make the dealer sort you out more favourably don't sit on promises most corporate companies really don't give a monkeys if that make sure they put everything right, all they want is you out of there faces.

he who shouts loudest or is constantly in there faces will get things sorted quicker, don't let them palm you off Whistle

Keep racking up the miles in the TDV8 they have lent you until they either make sure he cars is returned as it was or they have gone out of there way to px you into a new/ nearly new FFRR.

Good luck Bow down Mutt

Pulling a fuse cannot do any harm and my guess is the technical bulletin refers to the 2010MY onwards. Take the fuse out, then put it back in and if all is well ring the dealer to say its sorted and hang on to the proper Range Rover Thumbs Up
