Useful gadget for fitting an accessory in car

Useful little device if you have need for a fused, ignition controlled 12V supply inside the car for an accessory.
Pick an ingition controlled fuse in the fusebox, remove the fuse and insert in piggy back fuse holder, fit accessory fuse in holder and insert holder into removed fuse space. You then have a connection available for the accessory circuit.

It may be of interest to anyone fitting an accessory to the car and needing an ignition controlled 12V supply that on a TD6 (>2005) and possibly others for that matter Fuse 7 on the front fuseboard is unused and is ignition controlled.
The cabling to it is rated at 5A, more than enough for most accessories.
If you use one of the "piggy back" fuse holders you will only need a 5A fuse fitted in the accessory fuse position, you won't need a fuse fitted in the origonal circuit position.
This means that the fuse 7 circuit will still be unused and unfused which means that anything that happens to be connected to it will still be dead as origonal.

This might be of some help:

Please note, for the first picture description, a fuse inserted in the lower holder won't make a circuit out, but it will protect the original circuit from the main fuse connector. In the second picture, with the fuse in the top holder, a circuit out is made, but the original circuit on the main fuse connector is unprotected and not complete.
