Audi A4 Cabriolet Sport 3.0

Thought I would share a few photos of our Audi. I spent a year looking for this car with searches setup in eBay and Autotrader.

It's an Audi A4 Cabriolet Sport 3.0, born on 19/04/2004. We bought it on 25/04/2009 in Bristol with 65,000 miles on the clock. Since that time we have racked up a further 20,000 miles. It has been pretty trouble free (in comparison to you know what!) only requiring a new battery and two coil packs. The radio antenna broke the day before I picked the car up and that cost and arm and a leg to replace. I did a cambelt change at 75,000, @ £600. A couple of new tyres on the front today! Just passed it's MOT with flying colours.

The huge benefit of this car is that it is a real 4 seater - I looked at all the other "4 seater" convertibles at the time and nothing came close in terms of comfort and space. Lots of leather and wood inside, but sadly it didn't have the heated seats option

It has all the gadgets and gizmos you need, including two SD card slots for mp3s.

Driving wise, wow..... with a 3.0 litre petrol engine it goes like stink, you have to be careful not to wheel spin from every junction, but once up to speed it drops into overdrive 6th so you are cruising at 60 mph doing only 1100 rpm @ 1400rpm at 70mph and so on. It has sport mode and command shift if you are in the mood. It's comfortable, quiet and classy. Returns @ 30mpg from mostly town driving.

It has been in the wars, SWBMO drove the side of the car into a concrete post - big damage but beautifully repaired (no new panel), and you will remember the idiot who drove into the back of me Sep 2010, requiring new rear bumper.

I don't believe there is a better looking 4 seater convertible on the market.

Its actually SWBMO who insists on red, but I do like it too (mid life crisis and all that!!) Started with the MG Midget I have had since I passed my test, though.... .
