Hi all, got a problem with the wipers, when using the wipers on intermittent they do one sweep as normal then go straight on to the second speed, any ideas  gone fishin'

Do you have Rain Sensing wipers?...as these oftentimes have a mind of their own!! 

my ones are rain sensing so on intermittent , they wipe when rain is sensed but you can adjust the duration between wipes .. ... - .- -.

Is it duration that changes or sensitivity to amount of rain...?? 

pretty sure its the duration cos if it buckets down the wipers work all the time.. ... - .- -.

So the control changes the sensitivity of the sensor...not the duration of time inbetween wipes.... 

To be fair, I can't see the difference, if I increase the sensitivity, it will wipe more often, hence shortening the duration of the intermittent gaps.

Though if there is no rain, it just doesn't wipe, so the rain sensor system is much better to my mind.

Obviously I understand the difference in how the systems work, its just the terminology..................

I like it on mine.

Just a pity you have to move the lever down and back up, each time you start the car.
