I'd say given luck and care the engine should be good for another 150k at least. You may be in for a gearbox rebuild if you haven't already, and of course it'll be rolling replacement on things like suspension components. Keep it for another 5-10 years at least! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |

If airbags haven't been done I'd say in the next 3 years you will need them all replacing, and as above suspension bits and keep her dry inside and worry more about the electrics FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

As above - ignore the variable servicing indicators and change the oil once a year or every 8,000 miles - whichever comes first. Engines last forever if looked after. I pulled the engine in my mk2 GTI at 127k just to put a bigger bottom end in and when I took the head off it the bores were perfect. No scores, no ovality and the original honing marks were still present. I'll use that engine again one day. I wouldn't be surprised if you managed half a million miles on yours. |
