And one extra question for those who went to the trouble of calculating how far you went on a full tank: did you actually enjoy the drive or where you just trying to go as far as possible on one tank. If this is your thing, you'll probably be better off driving the latest Hybrid Prius, you'll go much further on a full tank!

I've had a smudge over 500 from 97litres but I always get some town stuff thrown in which brings it quickly down Sad

And the drives aren't too bad to be honest, you can look at other things than just the road and relax more when you aren't rushing along Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

When I drove over to Rüsselsheim earlier this year I was (mostly) sticking to the speed limits and got as far as 730 miles when the light came on for low fuel, well into the trip back I might add. Filling up again it took a smidge over 98 litres. About 34 ish MPG average.

And yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the drive. Thumbs Up

My commute to work is 149 miles one way (all A1 / M25). I've done there and back, there and back on one tank, so around 596 miles with about 20 miles left according to the computer. It's steady driving early in the morning and late at night, no stop start stuff which really helps.

It's not all that interesting way to drive if I am honest but the Top Gear Fuel Challenge type thing keeps me interested for just about long enough. - Ad augusta per angusta -

At the risk of being boring Yawn and going slightly off topic.
I get bored on my way to work despite the nice views ( across the Peaks to Buxton) 26 miles cross country up hill and down dale each way so last year I decided to see what I could squeeze out of the car but still make progress as the Police say. ( Daily drive is a Micra not the FF soz) managed to raise the mpg average from 44 to 53/4 by short shifting, keeping off the brakes thinking ahead, gentle acceleration etc. However the mental stress of doing it ment I got to work shattered but with a couple of extra pounds in my pocket!
So it can be done if you really really want to.

Off on a big Road trip towing the tin tent to France with the FF in a couple of weeks. Autoroute/Motorway all the way so be interested to see what the mpg works out at I normally get low 20's towing. Mine was a blue one! Smile

Lol, yesterday I nearly started a topic yesterday titled 'Something a SC owner will never see' with a photo of my dashboard. I had just over 220 miles range with about 1/4 tank left.

Furthest I have ever got is just over 700 miles - never get to do enough long steady trips back to back to improve on that. Best combined miles so far + range is 800 odd ( just over 200 done and still has 621 range)

No the journeys aren't 'fun' but I currently have a long journey to a client which is pretty much all 90 miles of dual carriageway so I just stick cruise on at 60 and dawdle. I had to 'push on' to get back ASAP the other day and it made 10 mins difference to the journey time so I tend to just amble along and make calls.

A combination of motorway and quiet A and B roads I managed 430 miles with the trip showing 73 miles still left. Most of the time i was within the speed limits.

My SC will regularly tell me it has over 200 miles left when it's at 1/4 tank. Whether it actually does that is often not the case. So much so I've turned off the "range" in the trip computer as I don't want to live with a lying bastard. Thumbs Up

Well i managed 470 miles with an indicated 70 miles remaining, the car was 2 up with the seats folded and stuffed with camping gear on the return trip from le mans.

We werent hanging around in france either, 80-90 average. With only stops for a sandwich and the chunnel.
Averaged 23.3 in france.

In the uk at 70ish it indicated 31mpg on the trip Shocked Cant be right, had only lost a thin passenger. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
