If it is anything like the LCMs on the BMWs then you might have to get it re-flashed at the dealer to work with your car, used LCMs could not be re-flashed as they stored mileage info etc. Maybe the equipment is different now, but with the L322 having so much in common with the BMWs I would check this with a dealer before parting with any money for the unit. I think a new LCM for my old BMW E46 Cabrio was about £350 from the dealers so it makes sense to use the resistors instead. Tom

if it were possible or practical then the professional conversion guys [craig] would have done this rather than the resisters and circuitry route.. ... - .- -.

all these are valid points , as i said this has been talked about but has anyone fully investigated the possibility so it can be disregarded 1990 3.5 v8 defender
