I'm looking for advice regarding my 2006 TDV8 vogue please.
The ride quality is not what I would expect given that this is reputed to be one of the main qualities of the car. Going over bumps and speed control bandings feels like I'm in a car with sports suspension.

The suspension is rising and falling correctly so I'm stumped as to what might be the cause. Perhaps this is the norm and I'm just being picky.

What size tyres are you on?
20" and 22" do make the ride bit harsher Mine was a blue one!

Short of checking your tyre pressures, which you will have already done, I'm struggling to think of anything else.

I take it you have 20 inch alloys, as this appears to be the norm on TdV8's ?............

I have a Td6 and went from 18 to 19 inch, and there was a bit of a difference to ride, but hardly noticeable.........

Only every driven a fully loaded brand new TdV8, and it was a few years ago. Don't remember the ride being particularly bad though...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I have the standard 20"s on a 07 Supercharged, and initially I thought the ride quality was a bit more "wobbly" than I expected. However it's a bit of a trade-off, the ride is nice and well damped and never harsh, but you definitely rock around a bit (but not jarringly). The plus side is that whatever speed you're doing you'll never feel like your spine is trying to cut your kidneys in half somewhere in the back of your throat.

It's also worth noting you can hit potholes hard enough to put your tracking out and not really notice the initial hit ...

Have to agree with the OP - methinks my suspension bushes are on the way out given all the bumps and rattles I get. Driving the same route to work I find my 21 year old MX5 seems to take the bumps better.... .

Oops, yes they are 19"

I'll investigate the bushes as I do get a few rattles and creaks in thecabin. It's perhaps these that are making it seem worse than it actually is. The car has now done 92,000 miles so perhaps they are due for change.

At 92k it's just about due a full suspension bush replacement
