Question on the DMS upgrade - is this reset when you put the car in for a service - this happened to a pal recently with his BMW 330D.

regards

Only if they do a big download/ECU upgrade which wipes the programme. In which case DMS will come and re-load it for you.

It goes behind the frame that the sat nav sits in, in the left hand corner of the boot.

I got Land Rover to email me the fitting instructions, but they were not much help.

If you hold it up, a box like "structure" exists in the bag, if you see what I mean. The sat nav sits in that.........

There is a bit of a discussion about it here ;

I only took out a bolt, that holds the frame to the car, and slid the water shedder down behind the units, sort of make as tidy as possible, and put bolt back.

I didn't remove the nav unit or anything......

If you wat to PM me your email, I'll send you the instructions.

there is also a thread here which I started when I couldn't figure out how it went - some pics as well.

A cheapish mod for a FFRR is to trade it in for a RRS Whistle
