I too, hold off a rant about using money from motorists on actual roads........

A 9" pothole should be a big old thing to see if you are looking through the shiney transparent thing in front of you.

I've got those new fangled electric lights on the front of my car - yours might have them too - there is a turny-twisty switchy thing on the right - try turning it.

Seriously though - I struggle to understand how you can't see potholes 9" Deep, and therefore they must be at least twice that in diameter - that's a big thing not to be able to see.

Let's hope you don't find one then by accident when it's raining, your screen is covered in dead flies and they are smearing with the wipers and lets say an ambulance catches you unawares! Cus then you'll feel really stupid won't you!!!

It's happened to me once... £4000 set of wheels wrecked!

Accidents happen I agree, but the OP says that it's 9" potholes that have been costing him - that reads that it's a common occurrence to him - or at least has happened several times. Learning ability seems a bit low...

He suggests I get out more, but as someone who drives (in fullfatRR) 70 to 80,000 miles a year, and doesn't have this issue, perhaps the OP should be the one to get out more to hone his observational skills.

I won't start on why you shouldn't drive at 50mph (the speed mentioned by the OP) if you can't see where you are going!

Perhaps what i need is a higher driving position? Oh, that's why I came here, to find out about Range Rovers.
