Ask Justin P to tell you about them - he's discovered that they are slightly dearer to run than his lawnmower - I'm surprised that this sort of information isn't all over the press. |

Good point - you wouldn't expect a mere 4.2 to use up brakes etc... I take it all back. |

Totally agree. On paper it's about 1 mpg in favour of the 4.4. Same size (22 gallon / 100 litre) fuel tank means you're talking about (on average) an extra 22 miles per tank, which is pretty much an irrelevance. You'll get more than that sort of differential from driver to driver based on driving style and from the natural variation in efficency that occurs from engine to engine anyway. In the real world the 4.4 may be slightly cheaper to run, but almost to the point you wouldn't notice. (Or was that just how I justified my S/C purchase to myself and, more importantly, to SWMBO)!? Past (too many to list, but a few favs)... 2007 Porsche 997 C2S Coupe 2007 FFRR 4.2 S/C 2012 Jag XKR 5.0 S/C 2014 Merc SL500 AMG 4.7 V8 BiTurbo (remapped to 560BHP) 2011 FFRR 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - Overfinch Conversion 2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo 2018 AMG C63S Estate 2015 Mercedes GLE63S 2017 Maserati Levante Diesel 2017 Audi A6 Avant 3.0 Black Edition |

Best i've seen is 21 on a 1000 mile roundtrip. 50/50 motorway and country roads. In town average is 16 but pressing on 12. Thats brim to brim, not OBC. |
