I also stopped off at another main dealer today on my way back who were really helpful and, he ran a check on all the times it had been in to a main dealer.

Interesting that - I've called up a number of dealers as well as LR head office in search of the same details and have been told each time that there is no central database so they are not able to check this and can only verify if the vehicle was sold or serviced by them.

Maybe its "different" if you visit in person so that they can see that you do actually own/are driving the vehicle ... hmmm ... Confused African Bush Junkie ... in London!

Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

That's what each dealer told me when I was researching my previous purchases, that they could only see and tell me what work they had done.

LR customer service weren't a lot of help in this respect either, but were good for providing the spec of a car if you gave them the VIN number. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Yes, there is a central database but, it is not always that accurate and can take some digging around. Having said that, this chap simply went onto the Vin Nos "recall record" (basically any time it came in to the dealer network for repair/service) and it came straight up.

That's how he was even able to see the notes from when it had the replacement engine at a different group dealership. Aerodynamics are for those who cannot build engines - Enzo Ferrari
