Autologic diagnostics.

So I went to a little independent near me today called Moonwhizz (I know?!) to see if they could enable my follow me home lights and lazy lock / unlock - neither of which were working when I picked up the car.

So he plugged in his Autologic diagnostic computer and we ran through the options.

It didn't really make a lot of sense. Lazy unlock and lock were showing as enabled - they're not.

Follow me home lights were showing as enabled. They're not.

I got him to put the beep on lock and unlock but nothing else seemed to work.

Could it be a limitation of the tool he was using, or is it possible that a 2007 facelifted Supercharged doesn't have these options - they're showing up on the computer - they just aren't doing anything.

His Autologic probably needs updating, I think it costs around £500 a year.
You can soon tell if it is up to date as the new Epuke will be listed on the vehicle options screen.

An 07 SC has numerous options available. We just went through extensive testing on this with the IIDTool.

Just to name a few:
DRL - main high, med, or low; Dip; Fog
Lazy Lock - Door; Key 1, etc
Lazy Unlock - "
Single Point Entry: Key 1, 2, etc
Alarm chirp on lock/unlock
and many more...

Yeah. I don't thik he was. Although, to be fair the thing that confused me the most was seeing options listed as "active" that weren't working. Like lazy lock / unlock.

to be fair to autologic and the guy in the garage i have had a similar problem with both of my FFRR's now!!

on my TD6, my total closure of windows and front sensors stopped working. my mate has autologic in his garage and he checked everything for me. as you have come accross everything suposed to be activated but not actually working. the same is happening in my TDV8 at the moment, stuff activated but not working.

in both cases the solution has been for the main dealer to get Land Rover to examine my cars and write then upload files to the dealers diagnostic systems. the dealer then plugs the car in and hey presto, everything works.

this was free of charge as it was an error on the car.

i am just waiting for the files they have written to correct the TDV8 issues to be emailed to them and get it all in order again.

it may be worth going to your main dealer and asking them for some advice. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Well, I got a call from the chap today and he said he'd spoken to LR and that he could get both "follow me home" lights working and also the lazy lock / unlock.

Seems there was a process he needed to follow rather than just selecting active / inactive.

Anyway - whatever he did worked and both functions are enabled now. Thumbs Up

I'm a bit disappointed in the 'follow me home' lights though as a) you have to remember to flash your main beam for them to come on and b) they don't light up on unlocking after dark (when auto lights are selected).

My ML used light up on lock and unlock (if the lights were on auto) after dark - made life much easier when you've got arms full of stuff etc when your car just lights up (and if you've forgotten exactly where you parked it in a busy car park!). Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...
