with a bit of hunting £25k will get you into a 60k miles 08 plate TDV8 in nice condition (thats what I just bought about 4 weeks ago). They are out there a bit cheaper with higher miles but given what I'd read about reliabilty that wasn't a route I was ready to take with my first RR.

I agree with the others sentiments. The TDV8 is by no means slow but it does lull you into slowing down and cruising. As a new owner, I'm still conscious of the sheer size of it (even though my last car was also a 4x4) and I think thats a small part of it, but its more the sheer cosseting luxury of the damned thing.... its dangerous... I could easily drift off to sleep.. It certainly gives you a certain sense of well being when you launch forth in it.
