United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Oslo Blue
Ultimate edition teak boot floor

I'm a yachtie, so of me, I do rather like the idea of the teak in the boot... It seems quite straight forward, in as much as getting an old boot floor and load space covers and tailgate carpet, stripping off the carpet, and then laying marine teak (possibly synthetic) in the right layout, with chrome hinges. Would also have the benefit of being reversible if i get parts from fleabay rather than hacking my originals.

Anyone tried it?

If I go for synthetic, the process is patterning using brown paper, then the manufacturer creates a panel of the right shape, with edge strips etc, ready for gluing onto a flat surface. A lot of the cost is in the laying out, which of course only needs to be done once. Anyone else interested in getting it?

I served my time as a small boat ship wright ( wooden yachts ) and yes it would be relatively very simple , any competent boat builder could make you a teak deck style boot floor .
I did think about it but never really took it any were , seriously expensive mind . Very Happy 2008 MY Supercharged
