Hello DB, I think I only got the one. I thought yours was a bit more than this one? And I don't know yet what miles this is yet? If it is 150k miles, then £12750 is not such a good price, but if it is 70k miles, then it is Smile

To be honest, I have so much information flowing in from various sources, I am only now slowly narrowing down my exact needs.

However, I am set on a lower mileage one with factory fitted RSE and, 90% in favour of black. My head really is full of information/option overload at the moment though, so who knows what the right car will end up being!

I do appreciate all the input and offers though Smile Aerodynamics are for those who cannot build engines - Enzo Ferrari

England 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Well, it has been information overload but a MASSIVE thanks to a good friend on PH, James Bauld (aka LHD) for all his time and advice tonight.

My wallet won't thank him for blowing my budget out the water, but I now know the spec that I am looking for:

Black Vogue 4.2 S/C will do nicely please (it was the throw away comment that a smaller s/c pulley gives 440bhp that sealed my fate). Pref 2007 MY as I really want the updated interior and, under 70k miles. Just need to find one now :+)

MODS! Can you please amend my thread title to "Wanted - black 4.2 SC (05-07) please"

Many thanks,
al

You can edit your own thread title, just go to first post and click edit, or it might be better to start a new thread.....to help make your request stand out from all the other first time buyers Wink .

Hi Andy,
from the ones we have seen so far.. it's probably easier to say what we don't want..

exterior not sure about silver, not red, not dark metallic green. Interior not black

We like the sand interior and light grey (charcoal?)

I like black (but it's a pain to keep clean) and stornaway? grey - dark looks better imo...

I know its a pretty vague desc. but I guess when we see the one we'll know it..

Rich cheers

Seriously though - I got it for £17k.

It is absolutely mint apart from a couple of small wheel scuffs and a tiny crack in the paint on the rear bumper where someone has clonked it loading the boot.

He is going to see if he can get that done for me before I collect it and I will get the wheels done in the next couple of weeks, maybe even go for a very subtle light grey chrome finish on them.

The nice thing about it, considering it is black, is that the paint work is lovely and deep with hardly any swirl marks.

it's an impressive thing for sure Cool Aerodynamics are for those who cannot build engines - Enzo Ferrari

As an aside:

I thought that all the 4.2 SCs used the Jaguar engine. Someone said that the early SCs up to the 07MY used the BMW unit. Is that correct or misinformation?

And did all the SCs have the electronic diffs?

I have looked on-line and can find nothing about SCs having a 4.2 BMW unit. Aerodynamics are for those who cannot build engines - Enzo Ferrari

Well done! It looks a cracking motor.

.....and the best thing is you've left a 4.4 Vogue for me......somewhere!
