England 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Shame as I would like a dark green one, although I don't want LPG. It is a fuel waiting to be taxed and I need the full, flat load space in the back. Aerodynamics are for those who cannot build engines - Enzo Ferrari

Yep, I think it has a flat boot space as the LPG tank would probably be where the spare wheel would be.

If it were Black/Cream it would be a contender.

Looks lovely, although the wood is a bit bright for my taste. If the tank goes where the spare wheel goes, where does the spare go? Aerodynamics are for those who cannot build engines - Enzo Ferrari

Can I ask a daft question please?

Did the Vogue go from a 4.4 V8 to a 4.2 V8 Super Charged in 2005? If so, is it prudent to spend a bit more on a 2005?

How much better an engine is it and does the car itself have any improved goodies on it?

Thanks,

Ok, now I'm more confused.

a) There seem to be 2005 4.2SCs at £17k, and the same model, year and mileage at £22k! Which price is closest to true?

b) There are 2006 4.4 V8s. Did they run both 4.4 and 4.2 SC at the same time?

Which goes back to my early question of which is best?

There's a few below £15k if you look on Autotrader.

They ran them both, as with the TD6 option the 4.2 SC was a different engine option. My Dad had a 'black badged' RR Sport when they came out and I took off the back quarter panel a few days after he picked it up........bloody metal posts jumping out on me!

I'd imagine you'd get between 10-15mpg but that's only a guess judging by the 4.4 V8 economy. I'm sure someone will jump in it's it's wrong.

why don't you hedge your bets and buy a disco?? it has better performance than TD6, 7 seats and removeable tow bar. and will be cheaper to run than a V8 FFRR.

this one has been for sale for quite some time and is in good condition, well worth a look and i am quite sure he will haggle a bit.

it is at the garage next to tesco on the Knaresborough road, i pass it every day going to work.

or how about this FFRR, this guy only sells nice cars!!

Burriana, the tank is underneath the boot in the spare wheel area. I have a canister of stuff to inflate a puncture, or carry the spare if I don't need the space.

If you are not an LPG fan, then run it on petrol! Mine gets 19-20 on petrol but 28-31 on LPG. Can't tell any drop in performance.

If you like green, then this is your car. They don't come much finer! And you can always change the wood colour to your choice! Thumbs Up

Richard - could you send me some pics please. Whereabouts in Yorkshire are you?

I am at least confirmed that it will not be diesel. Black is the definite 1st choice. It must have a working (digital) TV receiver. And it must have factory fitted RSE. (Can someone confirm whether factory fit has screens in seat back or headrest?).

Dolphinboy - yours looks lovely but am I right in thinking that you are in the South West?

Thanks for all the input guys. It is much appreciated.

rear screens are in the headrests. a digital TV tuner is nothing to worry about!! one of the latest hybrid tuners with electronic menu will only cost a couple of hundred pounds, and take 5 mins to fit.

i have one for sale at the moment. i could drop it off in Harrogate and fit it for you if you wanted it.

the only thing is it is for a touch screen, so you would have to buy a car with a touch screen!! Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

stu, does a digital receiver simply plug and play a straight swap? ie take the old one out and plug the new one in? and is it just tv or does it have radio stations like a freeview box? how much is the one that you for sale as i might be interested in it.

best
