the RR reliability was my biggest concern, will give me peace of mind by knowing that.

If your after reliabilty...dont buy a fullfat..

but in my humble opinion...there is NO better motor

Trust me, I tried very hard to towards other 4*4, but, I failed.

The problem is, if you know that you will get very hight chance to have those problems I mentioned above, that will put you off buying one right? not everyone is that lucky to buy a almost non fault car.

I accept that Nothing is perfect, any car can have problems somehow, as far as i concern, if there is no major common unsolvable fault with a model, it is safe to buy one with great care.

2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Carpathian Grey

I've had a few LR, pre 2006 I had a few issues with some.

I had a completely Censored RRS SC for 3 months, but since then I have no issues.

My 09 model did 38,000 ish miles and apart from a couple of services it was fine.

My 2 week old 2012 is perfect Very Happy (and I'm a fussy git)

In my mind you have decided on the model you want. The most important questions should be related to the dealer you buy from. Whatever you buy, the dealer will make the difference. The dealer I use are open to any info from the forums. they accept that there are some clever bu**ers on the forums that may have answers to issues they haven't even heard of yet Thumbs Up Wot's that in old money

Thanks a lot for ur advice mate.
May I ask
(1) why the dealer u buy from will make difference? I'm living in Kent, if I buy a rr from, say, Glasgow, if there is any issue, I will of course go to the rr dealer near Kent right?if that is the case the most important thing is the local dealer, not the one I bought from right? Or, u r saying that If there is anything, do I need to take it to the dealer I bought from?
(2) as I live in Kent, do you know any good rr dealer near Kent area?

Okay perhaps it is the dealer you would want the servicing and tech support from that is the most important. IMO it is always better to make the dealer you buy from the dealer you get service from.

They PDI the car and they service it, great.

Many people on the D3, D4 FFRR forums call the LR dealers 'stealers' Sheep because of a few bad experiences. I've had bad experiences of London dealer s Censored Censored Censored Whistle then I found Hunters in Derby. I've always found their service to be great. My cars have always been in warranty so I have never had the urge to use an indie and just like every aspect of life, it's about building relationships with the dealer.

Find one you get on with That's my advice.

This should sum up my feelings on the subject. I'm no mug, I got a good deal on my current Westminster but I could have got the same deal and saved £300 from a dealer 12miles further away that I have no experience of. I paid the extra £300 and stayed with Hunters Thumbs Up Wot's that in old money

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Orkney Grey

Problem with dealers is you'll really never know whether they are any good unless you get a fault & have to take it back Sad

From reading on here Lookers park royal do get good feedback and seem to offer good prices.

Buying anything these days has some risks. It's not just Range Rover who get problems ! To be honest most dealers are a bunch of *****. It never fails to amaze me at spending 50, 100 or 200K you can still get general bad sales & service. I don't want fancy coffee or a poncy cream cake to make me feel like I should buy a car, I want honest, polite & pleasant courtious manners, which does sometimes seem impossible to find.

All you can do is visit a few dealers & chat to them. You'll get a feel if you think they'll give good backup service. I'd never buy a car without doing a bit of research & viewing several times and calling a few dealers on the phone and see which ones call back & which don't even bother, so I think you're doing the right thing asking about.

The only thing I'd say if you were thinking of getting new is do expect a bigger price drop than usual if you plan on selling maybe 1 or 2 years after taking delivery. Because the new L405 is supposed to be launched in less than 6 months, I'd want to get some pretty good deals on a new old shape ! I reckon you should get around 10% off book price at least. Confused There are bound to be dealers with bought stock too, so they'll want to get rid of those shortly if they have any that haven't sold.

If you're buying a year old one now, then you should get some real bargains and save about 20K from new on the road price.

best of luck Thumbs Up

Thank u very much for ur comments rolo, I think I will try to get a good seconds hand one, as for me this way will save a lot of money and a 2-3 years old car is still pretty new to me.
