Scotland 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Tonga Green

Thats good, just wondering if I have to respray them to get body colour. I suppose the silver would be fine, or brushed chrome or something?

cheap mods on mine involved:

spraying the chrome mirror covers
removing the headlamp grilles
replacing the side vents with later style
spraying the surround on the supercharged grille to body colour
tow bar (for towing the plastic palace)
cheapie dvla dateless plate
door cill plates

lots of cleaning and a good going over with a clay bar.

things to do

beg for some cheap 20" alloys
handle covers
rubber over mats
ipod kit (maybe)
possibly remove the side tubes
repaint small bit of drivers seat leather.
and so on etc etc There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I'd spend £65 on an LED upgrade kit for all the interior lights (and the side lights) - it really freshens up and modernises the interior.

Every time I washed mine, I gave it a quick dusting with some satin black high temp. paint. Made it look that bit tidier from behind.

Hi Mark
Got couple of questions please if its OK

mjdronfield wrote:
Add some stainless sill plate protectors to stop the wear as you get in and out. Less than £30 if I remember right - off the bay.

An upgrade to the BM54 radio was a must for me, not exactly cheap at around £100, but much better quality sound and double the power on the pre 2005 models. Is this an easy mod, and what parts are needed please?
Have removed the EGR. Who wants all that exhaust muck going back in the engine ? Around £40 if I remember right.

Replace the crankcase breather with the upgraded BMW unit. Less that £20 for the "element"......

Add a K&N for around £50.........better pickup from low revs.........

Fit the Land Rover "water ingress bag" over the DVD and Nav systems etc, for around £7. Not necessarilly needed, but added peace of mind. [b]Do you have a LR part number please?

And the rubber protection strips, for the rear wheel arches, to stop the rust on the lip, less than £20 for 4 strips from Land Rover. Never fitted as standard, but they are fitted to the Range Rover Sport........

Mark

Hi mate,

The amp mod is done by a chap down south. There is a more in depth thread about it here ;

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic10342....mp+upgrade

His name is Baris - he joined up on this forum to answer questions and has done us a special price.

I sent my unit to him on the Monday, he did the mod Tues and I fitted it back in Wed lunch. Excellent service and I'm well happy.

The "waterproof bag" that fits around/behind the sat nav and such like in the boot is as below, and covered under Technical Service Bulletin No. LTB00007v2 31 May 2007 ;

Parts Required: Shedder - tall door

Part Number: EOT500030

Quantity: 1

Cost Inc. VAT: £7.40

I've now edited my original post to add some links in.

Hope this helps
