land rover extended warranty question / buying advise

Hi all..

would be great if anyone can shed any light on this for me....

Im looking to buy a FF TDV8.. im either going to buy from a dealer and extend the warranty, or buy from an independent if the car is within warranty, then look to extend it.

Question is ..Can any LR dealer then supply a warranty claim or warranty extension?

I bought my RR from a LR main dealer so it came with a 12 month warranty.

LR then wrote to me a month before the warranty ran out so I extended with them directly.

You can use any LR dealer for a LR warrenty claim.

and main dealer can deal with a warranty claim doesnt have to be the supplying dealer.

dont know about extending the mfr warranty, i would assume that this would be possible over the phone, extended warranties are provided by a third party on behalf of land rover. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Ok that for that.. I guess buying one still within warranty from an independent dealer means you need to make sure that land rover know who the new owner is, for the extension etc

Must be a mileage limit somewhere in the small print too.

Hello there

You can get a warranty through "warranty wise" for any car that you buy from an independent dealer or private sale, you just need to make sure the it has a fresh service at the start of the warranty. You can be covered for up to three years, although the higher tiers of cover may not be available for older vehicles.

Take care

Roy
