I posted last week re multi changer problems.

Anyhow have the unit out and it appears to be scrap!!

Any one know of a good replacement please.

I will tackle most jobs but not good with electrics, so ideally would like something that just plugs straight into standard wiring

A later unit from a BMW will allow you to play MP3's, which along with a BM54 radio firmware upgrade would display the tracks on the screen.........

Just an option.

Obviously you'd need to make sure the connections are the same.........

Daveo - the cartridge wont eject it makes an attempt (ie makes some noise) to but doesn't move.

Now you have it out, can you take the cover off and release the cartridge. The cartridge with its silly flimsy CD holders is probably the problem. You may be able to rescue the unit? .

thats 1 of the things on my list is to take out my cd player as it worked for about 2 songs and has never work since

there is only so much radio you can listern to

mine ejects fine and reads the disc's but it will not play then they dont appear in the track listing
