It is advertised as a conversion.

As this is a 2004 Non Facelift model without the Touch Screen Nav it is overpriced to say the least.

However, a good 2005/6 TD6 (2006MY) can go for late teens so a really nice low mileage 2010/2012 Conversion could get 21/22k at a dealer. Thumbs Up

What you have to consider with conversions is that they are great for those that want them and can be ignored by those that don't.

If you wish to drive a RR that looks almost new at a fraction of the cost and that makes you feel good then it a good thing for you and does not harm anybody else.

Having decided you want one you need to find a good donor car. Obviously the less spent on the donor the better but it makes sense to find a lowish mileage car with an immaculate interior that is at least a 2006MY with Touch-screen Nav etc.

Assume you can find a good 55k 2006MY TD6 for about £17k, then you need to add the basic conversion which is a minimum of £3000 for a 2010 and about £3500 for a recommended 2012.

No good having a 2012 Conversion with 2006 Wheels so you also need a set of 2010+ Wheels/Tyres and these will be about £1000.

Then you may decide you want a 2009 Soft Touch Steering Wheel and maybe get a new Gear-knob, Brake Lever and other Piano bits - more expense and it soon builds up.

Now you have a car that looks like a 2012 Model and even inside it will feel quite special if its A1 and has a new Steering Wheel.

The cost totals £22000 if you improve the interior a bit and therefore you have a second choice and thats buy one just converted for about £22k - your choice and its the same money.

Therefore £22k for full 2012 Conversion on a low mileage 2006MY TD6 is just right IMHO.

Hope this helps.

Land Rover Range Rover
3.0 Td6 VOGUE 4d Auto
2004/04
60000mls
Original Price £54,995
Franchised Dealer £17,950
Independent Dealer £17,290
Private Good £15,645
Private Poor £12,835
Part Exchange £13,670

Looks like a good conversion so based on my approach above about £19-20k but being non touch screen with the older interior the 2010 facelift will not add as much value but minimum £18500 at a dealer.

Seems crazy to me to spend all that money converting a td6. A 2007 TDV8 would make sense! Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Thats fine but to get a good low mileage TDV8 Donar car you are talking £24k not £17k that's a big difference post conversion.....

£22k or 29k.............. Question
