Dumb newbie tyre question.

Sorry about this, I'm sure this info exists elsewhere on the site, but I can't find it. Embarassed

What are the factory tyres fitted to a 2007 Supercharged on the 20 inch wheels?

And has anyone had experience with non-premium tyres? I'm considering Falken or Yokohama's at the moment...

Any advice gratefully received. Thumbs Up

Joe, I can't comment specifically on S/C wheels, but I do have Vogue 20's on my FF and they have Yokohama Advan tyres on them. Only had them a while and they were secondhand.

But the Yokohama's seem to be OK. A little more tyre noise than the previous (and, admittedly 19") Goodyear, but OK and perfectly acceptable. Grip is fine, but I don't drive my FF that hard.

Still can't help thinking about changing to Michelin Diamaris when the time comes later this year, though. Confused Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

Usually it's Continentals that LR use on the SC's .... But there is nothing to stop you from putting on what you are happy with ..your car your choice Thumbs Up

I've tended to stick with OEM recommendations in the past, but only because I believe they would have chosen the tyres after careful road testing / research etc - although I'm probably kidding myself - it's more likely because the CEOs of LR and Continental play golf together! Whistle

Anyway - at circa £300 per corner for the Conti's I've been doing some research. I like the look for the Yokohama Advan STs. Obviously Y speed rated and 109 load rated - exactly the same as OEM spec but I can get them for more like £180 per corner.

I have Yokohama's on mine grip seems fine in the wet and dry but I thought they were awful on snow almost dangerous but that might be because they are a little worn however tyre reviews tend to agree. Mine was a blue one! Smile

You could even put on Nexen's or Kumho's they do just as well think they were about £110 each
