Anyone know what this is

Will be moving premises in the next few weeks and today when i got into our new warehouse i noticed this on the wall , i asked a couple of the subbies that are doing snagging works in the place at the moment if they knew but none of them were any the wiser …

So i was wondering if any of you Gents know what it is and what it does TIA Thumbs Up

Sounds like a thermostat type gadget. If you type it in Google the company that sells them pops up. My internet is a bit "slow" tonight so could not look any further. Sounds a bit like the "red light" on the dash of the FFRR that measures sunlight into the interior to help the A/C "predict" its settings. This Ambi-rad sensor seems to measure radiant heat for the HVAC system in the building maybe. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Air temperature has long been used as a convenient measure of warmth but there are many cases where it is unsatisfactory and misleading. For example, air temperature as a measure is unsatisfactory where surrounding surfaces are warm or where there is high air velocity.
A person's bodily heat loss and hence his feeling of warmth depends on Air Temperature, Radiant Temperature of Surroundings and Air Velocity.

Only by taking account of all three variables can a true measurement of human comfort be achieved. Various indices of comfort have been devised in the course of studies on environmental warmth. The index known as Globe temperature is a practical measurable indicator and has been found to correlate well with subjective assessments of warmth.
