United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

Thanks for all the advice, its been a few months search but my signature has now changed! Razz

Picking it up in the morning and am well chuffed. Dealer discounted it back to £25k so I'm more than happy with the price. Once I figure out how to post pics, and assuming it ever stops raining here I'll pop some up.

One thing I was going to ask. It comes with the usual limited dealer warranty, but has anyone spent the money on things like the AA Gold warranty. Dealer wouldn't throw it in as he said it costs £1200 approx (3 years) but he would sell it at cost. No idea if its worth it/good price etc.

I must admit to being a little worried given all I've read about problems with these cars and although I'm pretty handy with the spanners, a bit of peace of mind is tempting. Any views on whether its worth it?

For now I'm just chuffed to be joining the ranks of FFRR owners, been wanting one for ever soooo long! Cool Lloyd Barnes

what sort of budget should I be putting down to find a nice one? Would prefer a facelift (2006+). Looking at around £20k max - is this a feasible number? Would like a few toys ..

My experience to date has been that you'd need starting from 22-23 to get into a TDV8 Vogue with any kind of sensible mileage. I guess there will be high milers around that buck the trend. I don't recall seeing one for £20k (there was a black HSE in the low 20's thats been for sale for ages and stil is on Autotrader so perhaps they might take an offer?)

Also I've found you need to be patient and look at a few. Took me around 3 months of on and off looking to get one that fit what I wanted. Lloyd Barnes

Maybe a nice TD6 for two years then trade to a TDV8.
