I've found that with some other jap cars. Have to admit reliability & engineering is usually 1st class & they just keep going no matter how much abuse, but stupid stuff like seat belt fixings that can't be gotten to easy or switches you can't see when in the driving seat

I hired a new Shogun in Australia for a week or so a few years ago to drive the Gibb River Road in WA.
