2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Aruba

I'll give it a few days yet before doing a run on the datalogger to get 'correct' values to post up.

I'll look at doing something for the wiki as well ... but i need to get a couple of other things out the way at the moment.

Last night took the RR to work. Its almost a different beast to drive, even on the LPG. If I pulled upto a roundabout, and then had to accelerate hard onto it, if I slapped the pedal down, the engine would do a slight hesitation and then pull hard. Now the hestiation has completely gone.

I think the total reset and a fresh MAF has improved its response from idle considerably.

------------------------

As for keeping the old MAFs .... the original failling one actually gave me less problems than the newer aftermarket one.

The original failing one had a broken MAF, but working IAT. The engine was able to guess the amount of air going in and work off the O2 sensor readings for fuel mix. I only realised something was wrong when I was re-charging the air con, and the sudden increase of load on the pump was causing it to stall. Other than that, during normal driving, I only ever noticed the occassional stumble on acceleration from low speed. the engine light never came on either.

With the aftermarket one, cause the ecu was getting told the wrong amount of air, it went all to pot and and the engine light came on repeatedly.

so I dont know what i'll do with it ... V8 or else ...

Wow. I'm feeling kinda stoopid right now.
The bank 1 bank 2 odd even thing above applies to the V8 in my P38.

The 4.4L BMW engine is setup like this:
Right Bank: 1-4
Left Bank: 5-8
With cylinders 4 & 8 at the back of the block.

Left / Right based on driver's seat perspective.
And I maintain that you guys sit on the wrong side of the vehicle. Laughing Jim
