2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black
IIDTool Lowering EAS

Hi, just bought a 57 plate 3.6 TDV8 Overfinch Vogue and absolutely love it.

I was thinking of buying an IIDTool, either the EAS lowering or the full diagnostics module to lower it perhaps 10-15mm and would this make any difference to the handling?

Just wondered if anyone had lowered their RR and if so how much and what was the outcome.

Get the full diagnostic tool; you might not need all of it's functionality today, but you will tomorrow.

I think US-spec is different from UK; mine lowers around 60mph (96km/h) to "motorway" mode. I thought I read that UK-spec doesn't lower until much faster.
I can't tell any difference in handling; she's still a 5000-pound land yacht, plus or minus an inch doesn't seem to matter.

I have lowered mine 15mm, handles just like my SC did now Wink Land Rover Addict

Thinking the full IIDTOOL would be a sensible purchase.

So 15mm would give a "sportier" ride. Does this the alter access mode by a further 15mm? TDV8 3.6 OVERFINCH 57

I have the IIDTool and it can do much more. (read/clear faults, live data, reset service interval, ... )
Also in the future it can make some changes in the CCF. (Car Configuration File)

I did order it also from lrparts.net. (only i have it for a LR3)

I lowered mine by 15 mm using the tool.

Driving over speed humps gave quite a harsh ride, took it back up by 5mm and now it seems spot on.

I love this tool Very Happy

Hi PaulB can you tell me your center wheel to arch or ground to arch mesaurements front and rear as i have been playing around and yet to come to a good compromise

Hi Stan,
Yes it can (albeit not as easily or quickly - not even counting schlepping the PC out, cables, booting, etcetc. - sorry, couldn't resist Razz ).
If you watch Storey's video on EAS calibration, he explains how to do it at the end of the vid. Basically, you do a full calibration including measuring the actual vehicle height at all 4 corners with a tape measure. Then you take the 4 values you've measured and either add or subtract the amount you want to deviate from the standard height before punching them into the computer. If you want to lower the car, you have to fool the program into thinking it was originally higher than it actually was and vice versa.

With the IIDTool (or EASControl) you plug in, go to 'Front', 'Rear', or 'All' and press '+'or'-' as often as you want and watch the mm go up or down. In addition, on the earlier L322 such as yours, you can adjust each height level individually, that is you can raise the off road height while lowering the motorway height, for example. This feature is unique to our products (not even the dealer T4/IDS can do this).
