Another 'Does any body know if...?

Hoping to soon go and look at a FF 4.4 V8 Vogue I've seen advertised (dealer) nearby. Only seen pix, it's on a 54 plate but it has the facelift grille and side vents so wondered if anyone can pin down what year the facelift version came in (I thought it was late '55 - '06. Of course it could be the previous owner put them on but if not, are there any other mods I should look out for. It's handy for me to be up to speed before I go and look as it on sale at a general used car dealers.
Thanks all...

Is it actually a full facelift or one of the grilles which covers part of the square lights? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

United States 2005 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Chawton White

When looking to purchase a (used) vehicle, here are some immediate disqualifiers for me:

"non-stock accessories" including wrong model-year parts & aftermarket audio
"beaner" wheels (giant chrome things)
anything that involves blue neon
"off-road" accessories requires (at a minimum) under-vehicle inspection even MORE detailed than usual

For me, anything & everything that diverges from "bone stock" REMOVES value from the vehicle.
I was looking at a vehicle a couple years ago for my wife.
Looked it over, made a list.
Dealer was all, "chrome wheels! 4 million-watt sound system!"
I said,"It's going to cost me $2500 to put the correct wheels & tires on it. Removing that audio crap and returning to standard will be about $3000, most in labor to replace the wiring harness that has been cut & modified."
"Oh, yeah, I want a spare tire cover that does NOT have YOUR name on it, and I need the tailgate repainted to remove your name from there, too. According to your own body shop, the re-paint will be $1200."

So I offered $8000 less than what they wanted.
Needless to say, my wife did NOT get that vehicle. Jim

Each to their own, I agree with a no no to tack and chrome wheels, but I have modified my ffrr to improve on the stock accessories. And whoever buys it from me when I come to sell it will be very privileged and lucky. Most of the time if someone has put a lot of money into the car you can assume its been well looked after, (most of the time). Thumbs Up

I agree too, I have added walnut trimmings (gen items) to the door handles and centre console, changed the steering wheel to the newer version etc, supercharger alloys and white and red rear lights, these do not make it boy racer, but more Autobiography and up to date.. Tom

Generally agree, though there are some quite blingy bits available from the lr accessories list!

Mine had chrome mirrors (removed and painted), side tubes (gonna leave on), and light guards which im in the process of removing, rear easy but front will require a bit of jiggery pokery.

The front guards fix to the wing and grille. Im thinking that i will get the bodyshop to tidy the wings and grille up and at the same time paint the grey parts of the sc grille black and also the grey parts of the side vents. (overfinch style)

Then some nice original 20"s, seen some on the bay, after which i will be about where i want to be with it. The car wasnt tatty when i bought it, it was from a Main dealer, i managed to get it at good money knowing there was a bit of work needed to get it looking spot on some of which went straight back at them as warranty claims. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
