I have a dealer friend, who stores his vehicles in more than one location. I think a lot use the appointment system for this reason - to have time to get the car out of storage for you to view ... |

Personally I keep a small piece of card over the vin number, just in case there is a cloner out there somewhere. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Another thing. Some dealers allow sales staff to borrow cars now and then. I phoned a dealer last year asking about a FF he had advertised. They told me a member of staff had borrowed it for the weekend. Needless to say, I ended up buying from somebody else. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE
