FFRR for life !!!!!!!

Hi guys,

Well owned my FFRR for 8 weeks, it's been cleaned polished tested and pulled checked over
Thinking I have got this beast tamed, so yesterday was it's first trip out with the family.

Car loaded up, cd's and dvd's loaded all the luggage loaded , family loaded, house checked and alarmed
So I go to turn the car over and wouldnt turn over , threw up a load of errors and nothing dead.

You can imagine family just all looked at me thinking what the Censored .

Don't panic seeing as the error of all mother fu Censored Ing errors came up , Transmission Fault,
And the brake pedal locked.

So I waited a minute and hey presto it just turned over, thank god for that I thought , I did put a post on here a few weeks ago saying I thought I had a dodgy battery. Anyway on we go towards tescos with all theese errors lit up on the dash thinking I'll put fuel in by the way with the engine running and then I'll restart the engine to reset all the errors, and that all worked.

Disaster thwarted, so my daughter says "can I put a film on" well I had to stop 4 times within 1 mile as it kept saying
NO DISC , tried to swap DVD's pulled and pushed the magazine in but still came up with no disc so no films for the little one to watch, so she just watched tv, all be it a little patchy.

Everything sorted on the way down to Bristol on the m6 car gleaming feeling like I was some sort of king of the road as getting a few looks and the beast bites again, oh by the way that's what the family call the FFRR . The tyre pressure light came on, oh no worries I thought as I pulled into charnock Richard services. Ok got my 50p out knew the front needed 42 and the rears 36 approx I thought , the fronts done and go to my drivers rear and pop the valve decides to disappear into the tyre and Censored air out, I'm thinking for fu Censored Sake it was only a few days down in Bristol.

Luckily I joined the AA and they came out 1 hour later and swapped the wheels over, luckily I had an original ally wheel as a spare as I warned the family that if it was the little one we are going home. So we had our sandwiches at charnock Richard services watching tv in the car in the warmth.

So yes guys owning a FFRR is for life as I guess u have to tame the beast before u can really appreciate her,
Oh yes we did get to Bristol 1.5 hours later than expected and was lovely to drive lol.

My question to u all is

1. Any ideas on the DVD system not recognising the DVDs and yes they are original.

2. Are the valves tyre pressure valves, and how much do they cost is it a kwik fit job or a independent tyre place.

No2. TPMS is a pain, I would just stick a normal valve in and live with the error code, cheaper and a quicker fix as I doubt you'll get 1 around Bristol this weekend.

Better to replace valves, or do they do this regularly?

Thanks t24res,

Didn't realise the cost of them, but thanks for the info,

Might as well find a deal on 4, keep the rest in reserve.
