Good to see an unmolested one (in the best colour too).

Often thought I'd try clay'ing my FFRR but was sceptical about results - from the look of the photos I need to revisit that decision. Looks great. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

Well, as a sceptic for over a decade, I'm well impressed with the claying results.I've just finished going round it with this ;

and I intend to carry on with it, and keep the car nice.

Like most on here I'd imagine, I can't afford a new Range Rover but could have bought a new car for what I've paid for it.

I've wanted one for years, and it's the only car I really like.

Many thanks for your comments, it's really looking nice now.

I can't recommend claying enough if you havn't done it, to give you a good start when you strive to keep your pride and joy looking good.

You will be very happy with the results.

Ok so I was wandering round Halfrauds and somehow bought a Mags clay kit and some zymol Whistle - Just tried it on a test area of the FFRR and yes you can definitely feel a massive difference - as they say its like glass. I like the way you can hear the clay bar having an effect. I will now have to go over the whole car but am now a believer (in clay bar nothing else....)

How long to the clays last and when should they be changed? "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

I used two thirds of a bar which was originally 50g in total I think. There were 2 50g's in the kit. ie I have 1 still sealed and a third of the other still left.

What I've used is pretty jiggered now I think, as I had lots of tree sap, and did all the glass etc.

Think they last a few years if you keep them in that air tight container to stop them drying out.

Others who have clayed over the years will know better.

You can feel and hear the clay bar doing its stuff, so you know when the panel is clean. Weird to explain unless you've had a go. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

With mine, I took each lump and used half of it.

One whole lump has done three cars so far and was last used on an old Discovery that had so many scratches in the paintwork that a dirty clay bar wasn't going to mess up.

I also used a friend's T-Cut clay and it's much harder to work with and needs a lot more warming up to make plyable.

The Megs clay is much nicer to use. Far easier. Si. <This is my name.
