That is a stretchy ec0ck I hat the way the side grilles have gone and they have put them on the front under the headlights. The solid front look has always been part of an RR look I wonder if its to recude the Drag Co....

I think Tata are saying more like Tar Tar to the old ways which is good in some respects but some of the designs are really screaming Chelsea/Cheshire to me and are far too glitzy as standard. Since the publication of that photo the value of all L322 models either went up or will retain their value better as some people will prefer to hold on to or purchase an older model rather than the new one.

Maybe the aesthetics will improve with familiarity but it certainly doesn't look anywhere as nice as the L322 when it was released.

The L322 was always going to be a difficult act to follow, but as unpalatable as it is, the new markets and new money want lots of flash for their cash.

Long-standing British customers might still want something discreet and dignified, but the Chinese, Indians and Russians certainly don't. Land Rover are just following the money, same as Bentley and their clown-car 4x4.

Lifestyle > style.

I think the L322 - even the latest blinged up one looks heavy and old now, great car that it was in 2002. LR have done a great job in keeping it fresh but I think next to the L405 it will really look its age.

Again, the interior was amazing when it first came out and has been kept fresh over the years, but the fit and finish of the dashboard really does show its age compared to cars like the Panamera and if LR are pushing the prices upwards, the Bentley GT.

I thought of buying an L322 a few years back, but just couldn't do it for the above reasons.

The quality of the Evoque's interior in terms of both fit and design was a huge positive surprise having turned down the original RRS Supercharged because of how poor it's interior was. From the look of what I've seen this will be a car that my head will want me to buy, instead of just my heart.

I just hope the window buttons aren't on top of the door panel like now, the interior door handles are bigger (like Evoque) and that auto stop/start is standard.

If they fit the 8 speed gearbox to the Evoque then on this basis we could be swapping a BMW & Mercedes for two pretty soon.

When its in the showroom I bet a lot of you guys will want one..... I will
