Take the cables off the switch and touch them together.
If the garage is correct the lower tailgate locks should energise.

Cheers ND.

Well the switch has a resistance of about 400ohms when untouched but then goes open circuit ie 0ohms when switched.

The actuators have 38ohms and then 60ohms resistance so i guess they aren't fried as one in the garage is open circuit and the other is about 800ohms so not far off death.

The switch recieves about 1.5volts of juice and bridging it still does nothing Sad

I think i'm going to have to pay for an auto electrician or a proper LR diag session with it Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

The tailgate switch is a simple open /closed switch which puts a supply to the tailgate locks relay.
From your readings it appears the switch is working.
Next thing to check is the relay, bridge the contacts, not the coils terminals and your door locks should operate. They have a direct feed from fuse 16.
Don't like the sound of 1.5V at the switch, that wouldn't pull in the contacts on the relay.
I have a feeling you have an output problem with the BCU or a poor connection somewhere.
You could check the output voltage on the BCU yellow/black connection.

Cheers NDF.

Is that Black/Yellow dirctly on the BCU or where the BCU loom goes to the relay to activate it?

I'll have to re-check the switch feed tomorrow and make sure 1.5v is right as i may be reading my doctors style handwriting wrong Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Cheers NDF, will give it a try and see if i get activation from it.

If i get voltage there then i guess i'll be stripping some trim out to locate the reak between there and the fusebox Very Happy oh the joy!! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
