i have searched on the forum for this but not found an answer yet

Cant find the locking tool for my 54 plate RR Vogue i need to take 1 wheel of as i have a slow puncture. The garage have said they have a tool which "will get any locking wheel nut off" but wont leave much of it left

is it cheaper/best to
A) at the same time as the garage take this wheel of get them to rip out the other 3 locked in nuts and get a new set of 4 nuts and the relevant tool from the stealers or somewhere else if anyone has any ideas
OR
B)take the RR to the dealers and get them to check which is the correct tool I need and buy a new one off them so as I can take off the wheel to repair the puncture

Thoughts please ?

ISTR there are only 5 or 6 variants, a dealer should be able to :

1. Look it up on the computer using your VIN and sell you the correct fitting.
2. Look in the boot, under the floor and find it rolling about .....

3. Do what I did, get them removed and have a full set of normal nuts. If they can nick the wheels off a 3 ton car, they can have em! The nuts are pointless, if you and I can buy a generic tool....why can't they???? Land Rover Addict

If you can hunt down the type of lock that was used then ebay is your friend, IIRC £7-8 each  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

+1, ditch the bloody things once a stealer has removed them... More trouble then they are worth IMHO...

thanks everyone all sorted now managed to get a second hand locking wheel not tool from the stealers for £11 on sat am then took it to get 2 punctures repaired which i thought would result in new tyres but didnt they managed to repair both which is a first for me its normally " that nail has just gone through at the wrong place i'll see how much a new tyre is" but not this time



now think I will go and get a lottery ticket !
