England 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Loire Blue
certificate of conformity?

Can anybody offer any info?

I am selling my 2004 FFRR and have had interest from a buyer in France. He asked if i had the certificate of conformity for the car Confused

I have never heard of this before but apparently it is required to take the car to France permanantly?
so has anybody any idea where i will find my certificate or where i can get one from?
Thanks

I would say it's up to the buyer if he wants the car. I sold one to someone in the South of France, and the buyer sorted all the paperwork out.
I don't think it's a problem providing that the make / model of car has at sometime been sold in France.

Hi, it is not up to you to deliver a certificate of conformity but up to the French buyer to apply to Land Rover France with a copy of the registration documents.
Once he purchased the car, he sends Land Rover France a letter asking for the certificate, I can't remember how much it costs but if he calls them they will tell him what to do and how much to pay (I think it is around a €100,-). The certificate will be issued easily for any Euro spec car (including UK as you are Europeans are you not?). Very Happy

No, they don't accept that. It needs to come fresh from LR France. It is one page with hardly any more writing than this post. And costs €120. It is VIN number specific.

Hi Guys
The French registration offices accept any COC coming from an EU country.
In the UK a COC would cost approx 100£ in France it will be around 399€ for a partial one. Because the headlights will have to be changed and the French MOT will be refused on a partial COC...and it will take 3 months. Evil or Very Mad
I have had this before with my previous RR. After seller provided the UK COC I had no problems at all with MOT and registration.
Having a few vintage cars and trying to get them registred I know how difficult the red tape is in France. My Alvis is waiting now for more than a year. And you thought your civil servants were slow Laughing
Even a bribe does not work
Have a nice day

Hi, we sold our x5 to friends in France . They also needed the coc.
I obtained it from the BMW dealership where we had purchased the vehicle. There was no charge.
Good luck

I dont think thats legal as a permanent thing, the beam does not go to LHD at the flick off the switch, it goes flat so is neither RHD nor LHD... I think they still need changing for a french MOT...

Surprisingly no, would make alot more sense... But then again i guess different market places have different regulations so not even all LHD or RHD lamps are the same USA, Europe have a different beam pattern for instance...
