It is good work, plus there's an Avoca nearby for lunch. Or the factory cafe on the business park!

Yep, it's the latest stuff like Di Noc but apparently better for automotive use. Geoff

Then two after, note I also did the sides of the centre console

Now the health warning and the how to.
1. Get all you need together, vinyl, hairdryer, sharp scissors large, sharp scissors small, craft knife - small not Stanley, some contact adhesive (more on this later), something to clean the plastic and a decent place to work.
2. Get it all to bits, easy - look at the Powerfull UK videos.
3. The bottom panel splits into two, split it, I tried to wrap as one - big mistake.
4. The vinyl sticks OK to the plastic where its painted but if you wrap over the edges it doesn't want to stick to the back. This is where I used a thin smear of contact adhesive - let it dry mould the vinyl using the hairdryer and press against the areas treated with adhesive - boy it sticks then! I would suggest getting the right primer.
5. These panels become amazingly complex shapes when you try to wrap them , holes, curves, decorative edges, etc.
6. The areas where you don't have adhesive or I guess primer the vinyl comes of easily, doesn't damage the paint and leaves no trace - so it's reversible.
7. You need to decide whether to trim round the holes or mold the vinyl though, I did a combination of both trimming right on the edge because the stuff wouldn't stay in place but after I discovered the contact adhesive it was better and neater to trim through the holes.
8. One spec of dust under the vinyl looks like a mountain.
9. So the Vinyl cost me about 25quid - I've got plenty left and obviously I need to do round the sat nav screen as that's a big job to get it out I think.
10.Before you start look at the how to videos on U-tube and elsewhere.

Health warning, allow plenty of time, carefully think it through, start with the bottom panel, they get more complex as you move up, don't panic if you are struggling it's all reversible. On balance I think it's worth doing, I'm even thinking of doing mine again as I know I can improve.

If you're not "handy" either spray the panels or get someone else to wrap them.

HTH Geoff

Lovely job, Geoff.

On mine when I was playing Whistle the Sat Nav screen isn't too bad to remove. Though I guess as yours is the facelift there could be layers of abstraction including the upper vents on the dash top etc.

Still though, really nice job -looks great.

Thumbs Up

Indeed, but even more tricky than that and that's bad enough - never once have I managed it without trapping at least one spec of dust Thumbs Up Geoff

Hi Geoff,

Very good, I know mine is mega intricate as I'm doing the whole of the gear lever surround

But not the black gloss panels, and by the way the sat nav system is a whole unit the grey surround

Can't be taken of,
