I'll answer the first part of the question .... the wee arms are the correct way round on all 4 corners.

this is funny as i was taking to a retired LR technician and he told me that they had many cars in with similar faults to yours and it was caused by jacking the car up, he said that you should always have the suspension in the normal mode,ie middle setting.did you say you have been putting it through its paces V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

There isn't enough movement in the suspension for the sensor arm to flip over |

I notice on the Blackbox support forum that the Light Check Module (SM058) may also store the error |

Have you simply looked to see if they are the same way left to right of the vehicle? If the issue is with one side front and one side rear, check the height sensors arms look the same way round on both sides?Surely if they had flipped over they would be facing the opposite way now...

I've looked, all arms are facing the correct way.

OK - a quick update ... i with the engine running and the Faultmate showing the sensor readings live, I unplugged the front left sensor and its value went down to 0.01 and the rear right seemed to jump back to match the value of the rear left.

I got in the car today and with a loud bang the front left spring let go. I rigged up the IID Tool and got strange readings on the callibration with the left front showing callibration of +400 or so where all the others were around 150-180. Any idea why this would be?
