What is the difference between the TDV6 and the SDV6 , is it only just the BHP , anyone know ...

Isnt one 2.7 and the other 3.0???. Dont know which is which though  Paul

The TDV6 and SDV6 do not appear in the FFRR, but in the Discovery and RRS. Discovery 4 HSE

the original TDV6 was a 2.7litre engine
the newer TDV6 and SDV6 are 3.0litre units with different power outputs.

The SDV6 in the D4 is very rapid but still decently frugal

Both sizes are shared with other JLR vehicles as well as PSA group and its common for bottom end problems which isn't cheap as they cant be rebuilt due to no available parts and thus require an recon exchange unit direct from LR or going the 2nd hand engine route....

Also the 2.7 is single turbo, the 3.0 is a Parallel serial twin turbo system
